This year signifies several milestones for the LVTA with the 20th year celebration of the original launch of the LVTA website, Senior tennis competition recommencing after a 21 year break and mid week “Fast Tennis” action commencing.

Senior tennis is back under the LVTA umbrella with the recent merge of the Loy Yang/Yinnar & District Tennis Association across to Latrobe Valley. Consultations between the two associations resulted in the LYYDTA Senior competition joining the LVTA Junior competition inturn streamlining the administration and running costs of both competitions.

The inclusion of the Senior players saw a fantastic turn out at the Morwell Tennis club for a fun Social Round of “Fast Tennis”.

The LVTA Junior competition also commenced for the new year with strong numbers and ran across local tennis venues.

The LVTA is running “Fast Tennis” mid weekly competitions on Monday Nights for Beginners to Intermediate level players and on Wednesday Nights for Intermediate to Advanced players.

All mid week competitions start at 6.30pm, the abbreviated format keeps the game moving quickly, is lots of fun and ensures the nights don’t finish too late.
