Results are now on the site for the
2011-12 JUNIOR GRAND FINALS
The Grand Finals were an exciting set of matches across all
the sections. Wins were strongly contested in Sections
1, 2, 4, 8 and 9 with some very close matches coming down to
game counts in Sections 5 and 6.
Thorpdale and Yinnar in Section 5 produced an exciting and
rather unusual situation of a tie at 3 sets 24 games.
The teams then played the required 4 singles tie-break games
with Thorpdale eventually coming out as the Finalists with a
3 to 1 game win. Well done to both teams for
giving us a thrilling match to watch!
The co-ordinators and committee members wish all players a
well-deserved break and encourage you to keep training and
taking part in the many tournaments in our region and beyond
until the LVTA Junior Comp starts again in early October.
The first of the
Cavalier Homes
tournaments will be
held on
Sunday April 29
at Traralgon. Phone Susie at the Clubhouse on 5174
4626 for more details (their website has the dates but not
application forms yet).
